For as long as I can remember, I have loved the moon! It doesn’t matter what phase the moon is in, I am always looking for it. So, of course, it’s only natural that I would want to create a jewelry collection based off the moon.
When I first got this idea, all I knew was that the jewelry would be moon blessed for an entire moon cycle. I had decided to use faceted gems and set them myself. Once I decided what I wanted to create, I had to start thinking about how to make this happen. I had to think about the size, types and shapes of the gems. I had to figure out what tools I would need. Then I had to learn how to set the gems. The size was easy; around 10mm seemed to be perfect. The shapes and types of crystals, I left open. I decided I would use gems that spoke to me during the shopping process. My first purchases where Amethyst, Smokey Quartz and Blue Topaz. I had also decided to use Sterling Silver settings for several reasons. Sterling Silver is affordable for everyone and silver holds the moons energy the best – which I discovered during my research of the properties of silver. After I had purchased the gems and settings, I put them out to absorb energy on the night of new moon (the first phase of the lunar cycle – indicated by lack of moon light). I repeated this during each phase - new moon, waxing moon, full moon and waning moon. In addition, - I said a blessing over the pieces. After entire cycle had completed, each gem was infused with the energy of the phases. The new collection is called “The Celestial Collection®”. Each piece in this collection will be moon charged and Reiki Blessed. Additionally, each piece will come with information on the four moon blessings, how to re-bless them and how to connect your own energy with your new piece, and make it truly your own. The Celestial Collection is very important to me; it holds the most stable thing on this earth. You can always count on the moon’s energy!
