Your Solar Plexus chakra is located at the level of your diaphragm. It drives your energy, vitality and will power. In addition, it powers your self-control, purpose and your gut feeling.
If your solar plexus is unbalanced, you may feel stressed and powerless. This can leave you mentally and physically exhausted. You will notice a lack of memory and concentration, feeling un-centered, and suffer insomnia and sugar addictions. On a physical level, there can be digestive issues, food allergies and a sluggish metabolism. When working to balance and heal your solar plexus chakra, you can use mantras, hand poses, yoga positions and eat certain foods. The mantra for this chakra is “ram” (“a” is pronounced as “ah”). You can meditate using this mantra to help heal your solar plexus. The hand pose for the solar plexus is to put your fingertips together making a tent position with your hands with your fingertips pointing away from your body. Cross your thumbs, left thumb over right thumb. Hold this position for 5-10 minutes during meditation. Yoga poses that help this chakra are full boat pose, bow pose and crocodile pose. Corn, yellow sweet peppers and yellow lentils are great foods to balance and heal this chakra. Of course, doing all of these while surrounding yourselves with crystals is going to boost the healing and help with balancing.
